Once again Oak Harbor High School will be represented at this year’s 4A state basketball tournament at the Tacoma Dome, March 3-6.

For the seventh straight year, longtime OHHS public address announcer Jay Long has been selected to be on this year’s state staff for the tourney. Long will be announcing two to three games per day and has also been assigned (for the third time in the last five years) to announce the boys’ championship game that will be televised on Fox Sports (FSN) at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 6.

Long has volunteered for the local district for the past 20 years and began his career as “the voice of the Wildcats” for football and basketball in the fall of 1990.
