Meridian ended Coupeville's girls' soccer season by defeating the Wolves in the first round of subdistrict 2-0 Wednesday at Mickey Clark Field.

Coupeville coach Mike Thornton called the match "disappointing."

The Trojans scored both goals in the first half and outshot the Wolves 18-7.

Ashley Manker had 16 saves in goal for Coupeville.

The Wolves finished the year with a 2-12 Cascade Conference record and 4-13 season record.
