Wolves bury Sultan 3-0 in volleyball

The Coupeville volleyball team breezed by Sultan 3-0 Thursday in Coupeville.
Coach Toni Crebbin said, "We needed that" as her team broke a three-match losing streak.
The Wolves won 25-9, 25-19, 25-14 to raise their records to 6-5 and 7-5. Sultan is 0-11.
In the first game Jessica Riddle piled up a handful of aces as the Wolves buried the Turks. In the second game, Sultan rallied from a 19-9 deficit to cut it to 19-17 before the Wolves sealed the win. After several early ties, Coupeville steadily pulled away for the game three victory.
Riddle paced the Wolves with seven kills, 13 aces, and 19 digs. Michelle Riddle chipped in with six kills and 16 digs. Julie Swankie had 27 assists.
Coupeville will be back on the courts Monday when Lakewood visits at 7 p.m.
