The Oak Harbor volleyball team finished third in its pool at the Mount Vernon Invitational Saturday.

In pool play the Wildcats defeated Sedro-Woolley, but fell to the state's top ranked 2B team, LaConner, and one of three teams currently tied for the Wesco South lead, Meadowdale.

In bracket play, Oak Harbor lost to Mountlake Terrace, another team tied atop the Wesco South.

Coach Kerri Molitor said her team played well for the most part, but "unforced errors killed us."

She added, "Placements shots on offense and reducing our errors will be the ticket toward improving our record this week."

Marisa Sutherland and Kristine Bouchard led the offense at Mount Vernon, according to Molitor. Kelsey Terrazas-Cooley and Katelyn Bristow stood out on defense
