Girls 4th, boys 10th at Mt. Baker Invitational

The Oak Harbor girls finished fourth and the boys 10th out of 31 teams at the 35th Annual Mount Baker Invitational Cross Country Meet at Silver Lake Park in Deming Saturday.
Tyler King was the top individual runner for the Wildcats, taking third out of 157 runners in the boys' varsity race. King clocked a 15:26.31 on the three-mile course, four seconds behind the winner, Trevor Thompson of Renton's Lindberg High School.
Matt Reith was the next Wildcat, running 14th in 16:28.27. He was followed by Matt Bolte, 72nd, 17:52.28; Christopher Horn, 90th, 18:07.04; and Mike Reith, 96th, 18:18.59.
Allison Duvenez finished 14th out of 132 runners in the girls' varsity race in 19:13.12. Adrianna Royal was 16th, 19:46.01; Christina Wickers, 37th, 20:49.21; Jessica Denmon, 42nd, 20:58.16; and Heather Dale, 64th, 21:50.01.
The Wildcats go to Jackson to take on the top ranked Timberwolves Thursday.
