The Coupeville volleyball team took out its frustration of the previous week by sweeping Sultan 3-0 Monday at Sultan.
The Wolves lost two tough matches to league leaders Archbishop Murphy and King’s last week, but got back in the win column with the 25-20, 25-16, 25-12 win over the Turks.
Coach Toni Crebbin said her team bounced back in a “loose, positive way” this week. She said, “The girls realized everything (the future of the season) was in their control.”
Crebbin said the Turks played a different style of ball than the Wolves faced last week, “There were a lot of free balls, so we had to get a different thought on” to compete.
Michelle Riddle had eight kills and four aces, Jessica Riddle had five kills and four aces, and Julie Swankie had 17 assists to help the Wolves to the easy win.
Coupeville continues its road trip, going to Lakewood Wednesday and the South Whidbey Invitational Saturday.
