YMCA golf tourney Sept. 12 at Gallery

The Armed Services YMCA of Whidbey Island presents its 17th annual golf tournament Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Gallery Golf Course.
This tournament is open to the public and everyone is invited to come out and support the ASYMCS’s programs for children.
The entry fee is $25 per player, which is tax deductible, plus green fees and includes hors d’ oeuvres, drinks and prizes. The entry fee is $30 the day of the tournament.
Only 75 golfers will be allowed to enter.
Prizes awarded include a one-carat diamond heart and arrows valued at $7,000 for a hole-in-one on number 10.
Anyone who aces hole number 3 wins airfare or a four-day cruise for two, and a choice of an item from a premium electronics package will be given for a hole-in-one on number 6.
Finally, if someone is lucky enough to ace hole number 5, they will receive a choice of a Calloway Big Bertha 460 driver or Uniflex steel shaft irons.
Prizes will also be given for shots closest to the pin and the longest and straightest drives.
Tee times are from 8 to 10:15 a.m.
Registration forms are accepted at the YMCA, 540 Pioneer Way. Payments may be made in person or by mail at the Gallery Golf Course Pro Shop.
