Junior softball falls at state

Coming off wins at the District 11 softball tournament to advance to the state tournament, the North Whidbey/Central Whidbey team ran into some tough competition in Kirkland.

On Saturday, July 18, the local junior team was defeated 6-3 by Stilly Valley from District 1 in the opening game. The loss dropped North Whidbey/Central Whidbey into the loser’s bracket where it was win or go home on Sunday, July 19.

Playing against Sequim, the North Whidbey/Central Whidbey team couldn’t get anything going at the plate and were soundly defeated 10-0.
