Reedy, Ford vie for state tournament

Defending state champion Kamiak won the 4A District 1 boys golf team title Tuesday by six strokes over Snohomish.
The tournament was played on the 18-hole Gallery Golf Course in Oak Harbor.
Kamiak, from the WesCo South, had a team score of 397 strokes and Snohomish checked in with a team total of 403.
Max McKinley of Shorewood shot 1-under-par 71 over 18 holes to lead the pack.
Twenty players are within 10 shots of the lead going into Thursday's final round.
The top 24 players advanced to Thursday's second round. After that, the field is cut to the top 15 who will play to the state tournament.
Oak Harbor's Phil Reedy is in good shape in third place after an opening round of 2-over-par 74. Judd Ford is also in the running for a state berth tied for 10th place with 78.
