The amazing season for the Coupeville High School soccer team came to an end Tuesday afternoon in the first round of the state playoffs at the Starfire Complex in Tukwilla.

Seattle Academy's Kyle Terriere scored a pair of goals and Perry King added another as the Wolf Pack went down to defeat 3-1.

"They were a very good team," coach Paul Mendes said. "First half was even, but we needed to a goal to kind of get things going."

Terriere's fist goal came at the 36-minute mark of the first half and he made the score 2-0 with his second goal 14 minutes into the second half of action.

Connor Freeman had assists on both scores.

"It was a good effort on our part, they had one player who really stood out. He scored two goals and set up another," Mendes said.

At the 60-minute mark, King made the score 3-0 off a Terriere assist.

Coupeville's Jordan Lamb averted a shutout, putting the ball in the net late in the game.

The Wolves end the season with an 11-10 record.
