Cone scores 48 points, Wildcats fifth

Everett, the defending 3A District 1 golf champions, won the nine-team WesCo North league tournament Tuesday at the Cedarcrest Golf Course in Marysville.

Playing 18 holes under Stableford scoring the Seagulls had 254 points, to defeat runner-up Snohomish by 26 points. The Panthers had 228 points and Marysville-Pilchuck finished third with 226.

Oak Harbor finished in fifth place with 205 points.

Leading the Wildcats was Melany Cone with 48 points.

Team scores — 1. Everett 254, 2. Snohomish 228, 3. Marysville-Pilchuck 226, 4. Monroe 214, 5. Oak Harbor 205, 6. Lake Stevens 195, 7. Stanwood 141, 8. Arlington 107, 9. Cascade 81.

Oak Harbor scores — Melany Cone 48, Ashley Johnson 45, Simone Hamilton 43, Shelby Hamming 40, Mara Cortez 29.
