Wildcat softball loses to Tomahawks 7-2

Marysville-Pilchuck pitcher Riley Fritz struck out 15 Oak Harbor batters Monday afternoon and the Marysville-Pilchuck softball team defeated the Wildcats 7-2 in a WesCo North matchup.

The Tomahawks scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and put the game away with four more in the bottom of the sixth.

Oak Harbor has just two hits in the game and prevented a shutout by pushing a pair of runs across the plate in the top of the seventh inning.

The Wildcats, 2-13 league, 5-13 overall, wrap up the 2009 campaign hosting Arlington in a 4 p.m. game today, May 12, at Hillcrest Elementary School.
