Freshman Grace LaPoint smacked a triple with two out in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Coupeville High School softball team a 3-2 victory over visiting Sultan Thursday afternoon.

Becca Armstrong got things going for the Wolves with a single and Taya Boonstra drew a walk to set the stage for LaPoint's game-winning hit.

Armstrong was 2-for-3 in the game with a double.

Megan Smith pitched a complete game for Coupeville scattering seven hits and got some strong defensive play behind her. The Wolf Pack committed just one error and upped their season record to 4-11 in the Cascade Conference and 5-12 overall.
