Jeans fans 14, Oak Harbor loses in five

Stanwood junior pitcher Brittany Jeans struck out 14 of the 15 Oak Harbor batters she faced in Thursday's WesCo North softball game and the Spartans defeated the Wildcats 16-0 in five innings.

League-leading Stanwood, 12-0, 15-0, banged out 18 hits and put the game out of reach with a 10-run uprising in bottom of the second inning.

Oak Harbor, 2-11, 5-11, was held hitless in the contest.
