Cone medals, Oak Harbor golfers win

Melany Cone earned medalist honors scoring 29 points as the Oak Harbor High School golf team defeated Stanwood and Arlington in a three-way match Tuesday afternoon at the Whidbey Golf and Country Club.

Playing nine holes under Stableford scoring, the Wildcats had 107 points to win the team title. Stanwood had 68 points to place second and Arlington with 41 finished in third place.

The Wildcats had the top three scores in the match with Simone Hamilton tallying 28 points and Ashley Johnson checking in with 23.

Other Oak Harbor scorers were Kara Stratton with 15 points and Mara Cortez with 12.
