Oak Harbor got on the board first in Tuesday’s WesCo North soccer match at Wildcat Memorial Stadium when Kevin Flavin scored in the 14th minute.

But Monroe tied the score just before halftime on a Jake Creager goal off a Drew Hopkins assist in the 37th minute.

In the second half, Danny Barjas fed Jorge Avila who scored in the 44th minute in his first game on Monroe’s varsity team.

Justin Van Pelt, off assists from Flavin and Ryan Fakkema, tied the score in the 65th minute, only to have Drew Hopkins put Monroe ahead for good with a goal in the 74th minute of the match.

Oak Harbor goal keeper Jack O’Neil made two great saves on shots before Hopkins managed to poke the rebound home for the gamewinner.

The Wildcats are 3-5-0 in the league.
