The Coupeville High School baseball team got two solid pitching performances from Jason Bagby and J.D. Wilcox in a pair of Cascade Conference games Friday and Saturday against Granite Falls, but still came up on the short end of the scores.

At Granite Falls on Friday, the Tigers came away with a 3-1 win and then traveled to the Wolf Pack's home field Saturday morning to pick up a 5-2 victory.

"We should have won at least two games against them, maybe even all three," coach Willie Smith said. "We got three great pitching performances."

Holding a 3-2 lead, Granite Falls scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to put the game out of reach.

Chase Griffin had a double for Coupeville, 1-5 league, 1-7 overall.
