Oak Harbor bats hot in 17-3 win

Wildcat bats were booming in Friday's WesCo North baseball game as Oak Harbor High School bombed Everett 17-3 to even its season record at 3-3.

The game was called after six innings of action on the 10-run rule.

Sophomore Yale Rosen had a big day for the Wildcats, going 2-for-3 with a double and a triple, and driving in six runs.

Jay Stout also had a double for Oak Harbor.

The Wildcats scored five runs in the top of the third inning to take a 5-0 lead, but the Seagulls got on the board with three runs in the bottom half of the inning to narrow the margin.

Oak Harbor scored seven big runs in the top of the sixth inning and put the game away with another five-run eruption in the top of the sixth.

Ryan Byrne pitched the first five innings for Oak Harbor to record the victory.
