Coupeville wins first baseball game

Four runs in the second inning and strong pitching by Jake Hill and J.D.Wilcox at Granite Falls Monday afternoon carried the Coupeville High School baseball team to its first win of the season, with a 6-4 victory over the Tigers.

Hill pitched the first six innings before Wilcox took over in the seventh to pick up the save.

Chad Brookhouse had a double for the Wolves who collected nine hits in the game.

Coupeville is 1-3 in league games and 1-5 overall.
