Wolverines clip Wolves
At Friday Harbor in a non-league basketball game Friday evening, the Coupeville boys got off to a slow start scoring just two points in the first quarter and eventually lost a close 41-39 decision to the Wolverines.
Friday Harbor was equally cold in the first eight minutes, putting a mere five points on the board.
At halftime, the Wolverines were ahead 14-12.
The two teams played evenly for the remainder of the game putting up identical numbers in the final two quarters.
Parker Lawson scored a game-high 16 points for Friday Harbor and Cody Peters netted 13 points for the Wolf Pack.
The loss evens Coupville’s preseason record at 3-3.
Coupeville wins 38-23
Coupeville’s girls basketball team handily defeated Friday Harbor 38-23 in a non-conference basketball game on the road Friday evening. The victory improves the Wolves’ preseason record to 3-3.
