Wicker wins twice in Micronesian Games

Christina Wicker, a 2013 graduate of Oak Harbor High School, was a double winner at the Eighth Micronesian Games in Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia, Tuesday, July 22.

The games, July 20-30, feature teams from all Micronesian nations, states and territories. Wicker represents Palau.

Wicker, who just completed her freshman year at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she runs cross country and track, won the 1,500 and 5,000 meters at the Games. Her time of 18:51.57 in the 5,000 trimmed 30 seconds off the previous Micronesian Games record.
