T-birds roll by Oak Harbor | Tennis

Shorewood, the leader of the Wesco South 3A tennis standings, cruised by host Oak Harbor 7-0 Tuesday, April 29.

Oak Harbor gave the Thunderbirds (8-0, 10-1) their toughest match in second doubles where Chelsea Admire and Hannah Gluth fell 6-4, 7-6(5).

Other results:

Singles: 1, Makenzie Perry lost 6-3, 6-2; 2, Jamie Estrella lost 6-1, 6-0; 3, AnnaBelle Whitefoot lost 6-1, 6-1; 4, Faith Franssen lost 6-3, 6-2.

Doubles: 1, Zena Husler/Alyssa Eden lost 6-2, 6-1; 3, Caterina Amsler/Ellysa Bonganay lost 6-2, 6-4.

The Wildcats did pick up an 8-3 win in an exhibition match from Jastine Sanchez and Ria Brains.

Oak Harbor (2-7, 5-7) meets Marysville Getchell (1-7, 3-8) at home at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 1.
