North leader Stanwood tops 'Cats | Tennis

The Stanwood High School tennis team stayed unbeaten in Wesco North play by defeating host Oak Harbor 7-0 Monday, April 28.

The Spartans (8-0, 10-1) won each individual match in straight sets over the Wildcats (2-6, 5-6).

Singles: 1, AnnaBelle Whitefoot lost 6-0, 6-2; 2, Faith Franssen lost 6-2, 6-3; Caterina Amsler lost 6-3, 6-1; 4, Alyssa Eden lost 6-0, 6-0.

Doubles: 1, Makenzie Perry/Zena Husler lost 6-0, 6-1; Jamie Estrella/Chelsea Admire lost 6-2, 6-1; 3, Hannah Gluth/Ellysa Bonganay lost 6-0, 6-0.

Oak Harbor is home twice more this week at 3:30 p.m., meeting Wesco South leader Shorewood (7-0, 9-1) Tuesday, April 29, and Marysville Getchell (1-6, 3-7) Thursday, May 1.
