Hawks slip by Wildcats | Soccer

Oak Harbor scored quickly but couldn't add on and Mountlake Terrace edged the Wildcat soccer team 2-1 at Lynnwood High School Friday, April 18.

Caley Powers, off an assist from Kyle Truex, scored five minutes into the match, then the offense went dry.

Nakour Wessam and Gavin Scott scored for the Hawks (3-4, 4-5).

Oak Harbor was missing several players because of injury. Coach Brian Thompson said he hopes to field a full squad when the Wildcats host Marysville Getchell at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 25.

Before then, Oak Harbor (3-4, 5-4-1) will have to tend to visiting Shorewood (5-1-1, 6-2-2) at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 21.
