Wildcats outlast Chargers in rain | Girls golf

The Oak Harbor High School girls golf team fought off wind, rain and Marysville Getchell for a 385-400 win at the Whidbey Golf Club Thursday, April 17.

The teams played only 13 holes because of the weather.

The Wildcats' Joanna Leete shot a four-over 56 to earn medalist honors. Bree Roderos carded a 70, Hailey Beecher 81, Marisa Sligh 88 and Dana Cornejo 90.

Jacquelyn Martin led the Chargers with a 65.

Oak Harbor joins seven other teams at the Top Two Tournament hosted by Kamiak at the Harbor Point Golf Course at 1:55 p.m. Monday, April 21.
