Oak Harbor opens competitive season | Cheer

The Oak Harbor High School cheer team opened its competitive season Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Harbor Cheerfest in Gig Harbor.

First-year coach Crista Carlson said her team received excellent scores in jumps and crowd involvement.

"The girls performed so well on Saturday," Carlson said. "It was the first time competing in a high school competition for 10 out of the 12 girls that performed."

The Wildcats go to Bellevue's Skyline High School for the Winter Cheer Classic Saturday, Jan. 18.
