NWAC takes third

The North Whidbey Aquatic Club recently placed third of eight teams at the March Challenge Swim Meet at Juanita High School.
Leading the way for NWAC were Ciara Hu, Price Hu, Cameron Spence, and Amanda Streubel, each of whom won several events and notched their first qualifying times for the Northwest Section Age Group Championships. Price Hu also swam to a team record in the 11-12 boys 200 fly in 2:30.86.
Also winning events for NWAC were John Hu, Laura Rosen, Nick Streubel, and Evan Wilson. Individual team records were set by Price Hu in the boys 11-12 200 fly (2:30.86) and Laura Rosen in the 10-and-under girls 500 free (6:40.15).
Several relay records were set, including the boys 8-and-under 100 medley (Aaron Wright, John Rodeheffer, Nick Streubel, and Matt Olloren) in 1:37.51; the girls 10-and-under 200 medley and free relays (Monica Olloren, Laura Rosen, Ciara Hu, and Makenzi Schulle) in 2:41.56 and 2:17.15, respectively; the boys 10-and-under 200 free relay (Nick Streubel, Matt Olloren, John Kaltenbach, and Cole Weinstein) in 2:37.86; the girls 11-12 200 medley relay (Amanda Streubel, Rachel Weinstein, Abby Leete, and Julia Tichy) in 2:17.00; and the girls senior 200 medley relay (Marissa McDaniel, Stacy Kallander, Julia Marriott, and Lillian Brunner) in 2:02.16.
