Whidbey Island Naval Sailing Association makes awards

The Whidbey Island Naval Sailing Association held its annual holiday party at the Oak Harbor Yacht Club on Thursday, December 13, at 6pm. Awards were presented for the fall racing series, with the first place award going to Bob Miles of Slingshot, second place award going to Michele Sladko of Rossinante, and third place award going to Jim McAlpine of Mecushla.
The first annual Tony Dobson Memorial Award was presented to Keith Kinnebrew for his exemplary and significant contribution to the advancement of sailing activities in the Oak Harbor area. The officers for the 2002 year were announced after dinner. The sailing assn is open to military and civilian persons with an interest in sailing.
