"Wrestlers win at Kamiak, stay unbeaten"

"The Oak Harbor wrestling team continued its undefeated run through the conference season with a dramatic 35-28 win at Kamiak on Thursday.With the Wildcats clinging to a one-point lead and the outcome of the meet on the line, Oak Harbors Sean Hogan (275) pinned Josh Betts of Kamiak in the third round of the final match of the night.Brian Lang (145) and Danny Wichers (125) both logged pins for the Wildcats. Kevin Lang (103) notched a technical fall, while Jon Garcia (109), David Farmer (160) and Brent Lang (171) all won major decisions.It was the second dual-meet victory of the week for the Wildcats, who also dominated Edmonds-Woodway in a 51-15 victory in the Oak Harbor gym Tuesday night.In that contest, Brian Lang, Brent Lang, Brandon Bonson (215) and Hogan all pinned their opponents.If I get them on their back, Im a pinner. Thats what I do, Bonson said.Wildcat wrestlers also won several hard-fought decisions in the dual meet, including a 5-4 win by Garcia over Matt Hadreas and a 5-3 extra-round decision by Will Carroll over Aaron Draper.
