"Wolves tame Lions, go 2-0 in league"

"In a season of one close game after another, the Coupeville boys basketball team is winning the ones that matter the most.Pat Bennett scored a game-high 23 points at Concrete on Friday to lead the Wolves to a 60-57 win over the Lions.Coupeville jumped out to an 11-point first-half lead, then held on down the stretch. Wolves forward Noah Roehl scored 12 points, while teammate Ceasar Kortuem chipped in 11.The win was the second of the week over a Northwest A opponent, and moves Coupeville to 2-0 in league play.On Monday, the Wolves lost a close non-league contest to Granite Falls.
