5 combine to win best ball tournament

Mike Johnson, Nick Johnson, Joe Beatty, Austin Beatty and Ian Bonallo combined to win the annual Whidbey Golf Club Five-Person Best Ball Tournament July 26-28.

The quintet topped 31 other teams with a winning score of 382.

Two strokes back in second place were Arik Dahlen, Dave Smith, Andrew Fridlund, Robert Tercero and Willie Sprague.

Martin Pool, Roberta Robins, David Csencsics, Ginny Csencsics and Tom Driscoll finished third in 386.
