Chapman, Johnson win WGC Women's Invitational

Cathy Chapman and Lori Johnson won the 39th annual Whidbey Golf Club Women's by five strokes Saturday and Sunday, June 27 and 28.

Chapman and Johnson combined to shoot a gross score of 66, easily topping three teams who tied for second at 71 in Flight 1.

Judy Hankey and Donna Christian carded the best Flight 1 net score of 50.

In Flight 2, Patti Cahan and Mitzi Kerwien led the field with a gross of 78, while Marsha Phay and Patty Cole shot the low net of 51.
