Oak Harbor's Annie Leete continued her dominance over the Western Conference by taking medalist honors at the 3A league tournament Thursday, May 9, at Jackson Park in Seattle.

Leete shot an 82, four shots better than Shorecrest's Audrey Penner, to earn the top spot and carry Oak Harbor to second place in the team standings.

Glacier Peak won the meet with 480 strokes; Oak Harbor finished with 488 in the 10-team field.

The effort by Leete also wrapped up the individual league point title for the junior and a berth on the all-conference first team.

Each golfer and team received points after the six conference matches and the league tournament. Leete totaled 166; Penner was second with 159.

As a team, Oak Harbor placed third with 24 league points. Glacier Peak tallied 28 and Shorecrest 25. The Wildcats' score was tops among Wesco 3A North teams.

Coach Andy Wesley said his team "played amazing" and received personal bests from Roderos, Winfield, Mooki and Brockway.

He added, "I’m really proud of their performances and their hard work is starting to pay off."

In league points, Roderos placed 12th (131 points and good for second-team all conference), Winfield 19th (103), Gurich 23rd (99), Brockway 27th (89) and Mooki 30th (87) out of 76.
