Shorecrest uses depth to defeat Oak Harbor | Girls golf

Oak Harbor's Annie Leete posted the best score, but Shorecrest finished with the next best four to win a three-team girls golf match at Jackson Park Golf Course Thursday, April 11.

The Scots scored 477, Oak Harbor 489 and Meadowdale 593.

Because of darkness, the match was called after 16 holes. Leete shot 74 on a par 65, edging Shorecrest's Audrey Penner by two strokes. No other golfer shot better than 93.

Bree Roderos and KC Winfield finished at 101 for Oak Harbor, one shot up on Cassidy Gurich. Katie Brockway shot 111 and Rosie Mooki 136.

The Wildcats play in the Burlington-Edison Invitational at Skagit Valley Golf and Country Club at 10 a.m. Monday, April 15.
