Burlington-Edison blanked the Oak Harbor High School tennis team 7-0 in the opening match of 2013  at Skagit Valley College Thursday, March 14.

Rain forced the match to be moved from Burlington to SVC's covered courts, and because of the late start an eight-game pro-set was used in each individual match instead of the traditional two-out-of-three set format.

Burlington-Edison's Anna Lefebvre defeated Chelsea Atkinson 8-0 in the featured No. 1 singles event.

In second singles, Oak Harbor received its best performance as McKenzie Perry was edged 8-7 by Amelia Brown.

Oak Harbor (0-1) opens home and conference play with Marysville Getchell at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 19.

Other results versus Burlington:
