Rain wipes out most opening games

Rain. It didn’t take long for Mother Nature to dampen the high school spring sports season.

Today’s (Tuesday, March 12) opening games for the Oak Harbor baseball, softball and tennis teams and Coupeville’s tennis team were rained out.

The Oak Harbor baseball game at Arlington and the Wildcats’ softball game at Mount Vernon are rescheduled for 4 p.m. Monday, March 18.

Oak Harbor’s tennis match at Arlington and Coupeville’s match at Friday Harbor will be played at 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 15.

The Coupeville soccer match at Friday Harbor will be played today.
