Golfers win league tournament

Phil Reedy carded a four-over-par 76 and the Oak Harbor High School boys golf team won Tuesday’s Group A league tournament at Whidbey Golf and Country Club by 10 strokes.

Oak Harbor had a team total of 407 strokes to outdistance Lake Stevens which finished in second place with 417.

Marysville-Pilchuck was third with 433 strokes, followed by Arlington and Stanwood scores of 440 and 447 strokes, respectively.

Eric McCardle shot a round of 77 strokes for the Wildcats to tie with Stanwood’s Jordon Solvberg for second place among the low scores.

Brandon Kenworthy carded an 81 while Josh Hunt finished the day with a score of 86.

Judd Ford and Dan Klope completed the scorecard with a rounds of 87 and 92 strokes.
