The turnout wasn’t quite as large as Coach Kim Sherman would have liked it to be, but the kids were going full speed ahead at Monday’s session of the five-day Coupeville soccer camp.

Players of all ages, including members of Sherman’s high school team, were in attendance and everyone was working hard on improving their fundamental ball handling and passing skills.

“We are all having a lot of fun and the younger kids enjoy getting out and playing with the high school team,” Sherman said.

The camp is from 2 to 5 p.m. each day through Friday at the Engle Road practice field off Terry Road in Coupeville.

Sherman said it’s not too late for young players to participate in the camp.

“Anyone who wants to come out and join us is more than welcome,” she said.
