Wildcats dominate all-league

The WesCo North football champion Oak Harbor Wildcats had 11 players selected as first-team, second-team and honorable mention all stars by a recent vote of opposing league coaches.
Senior Jake Rouser led the Wildcats by being named a first-team all-star at outside linebacker/defensive and a first-team offensive performer at tight end.
Senior defensive back Jordan Young and senior inside linebacker Joe Raymond earned first-team honors as defensive standouts.
On offense, senior quarterback Johnny Encinas, who has thrown for 28 touchdowns this season, and wide receiver Rodrick Rumble were voted first-team all-stars.
Also named a first-team offensive performer was lineman Tyler Elliot, who was voted to the second team defensive unit at outside linebacker/defensive end.
Named second-team offensive players were senior running back Chris Valencia, senior wide receiver Michael Bell and junior kicker Kevin Flavin.
Seniors DeVante Young and Mike Johnston were voted honorable mention all-stars.
The Wildcats finished the regular season with a 9-0 record, the first team to finish undefeated since 1966, and won their first two playoff games over Bellarmire Prep 20-10 and Olympia 30-21 in their continuing quest to repeat as Class 4A state champions.
