Seniors lead Oak Harbor to win | Volleyball

Sparked by the play of its seniors in their final match on their home court, the Oak Harbor High School volleyball team defeated visiting Marysville-Pilchuck 3-1 Wednesday, Oct. 24.
The Wildcats won 25-16, 25-14, 19-25, 25-8.
Oak Harbor (5-3, 7-7) now plays Meadowdale (6-2, 10-4) in the district tournament at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Marysville-Pilchuck.
M-P (2-6, 5-9) needed to defeat Oak Harbor to guarantee itself a spot in the playoffs.
Oak Harbor coach Kerri Molitor said, "Great last home match for the seniors. It was the best they have played all season."
The senior stats: Taylor Nienhuis 36 assists, Roshel Muzzall 18 kills, Hannah Salmons six kills and eight digs, Hannah Christensen eight digs, Ally McGuire four aces.
Junior Kayleigh Harper added 15 kills and 12 digs.
Molitor said, "The positive support we have from our families, the student body and the community is very much appreciated. We are so proud to be representing our school and community as we prepare for the next step (district)."
