'Cats win, set up battle for 1st | Volleyball

After winning 3-1 at Marysville-Pilchuck Tuesday, the Oak Harbor High School volleyball team set up a showdown for first place with Stanwood tonight (Thursday, Oct. 11) at 7 p.m. at the Wildcat gym.
The Wildcats are 3-1 in Wesco 3A North play, one game back of Stanwood (4-0, 7-3) with four matches left. The Spartans defeated Oak Harbor 3-1 Sept. 25.
Oak Harbor (3-1, 5-5) dropped its first game at Marysville-Pilchuck 25-20, then roared back to win 25-12, 25-10, 25-18.
Coach Kerri Molitor said her team was "sloppy" the first set, then added, "It was good to see the girls put the first one behind them and refocus for a comeback."
Taylor Nienhuis recorded 41 assists as Kayleigh Harper collected 20 kills, Roshel Muzzall 13 and Amelia Berner six.
Muzzall also had 16 digs and Harper and Berner 10 each. Harper added four blocks and Muzzall two.
