A different lineup produced a positive result as the Coupeville High School tennis team wrapped up the regular season with a 5-0 win over visiting Friday Harbor Friday, Oct. 5.

Coach Ken Stange tried some different combinations to get ready for district and the Wolves dominated, completing the sweep in only 90 minutes.

He said, "All of the boys were solid…the new pairs were productive."

The lineup changes came in doubles, and all three Coupeville pairs won in straight sets: 1, Ben Etzell/Ben Wehrman won 6-0, 6-2; 2, Jason Knoll/Brian Norris won 6-3, 6-0; and 3, Dawson d'Almeida/Shane Squire won 6-2, 6-2.

Nathan Lamb took first singles 6-1, 6-3; and Aaron Curtin won by default in second singles.

The Wolves (4-4) and South Whidbey will go to Friday Harbor Saturday, Oct. 13, for the district tournament.
