Oak Harbor received a strong individual performance by Alex Laiblin but the Wildcat cross country teams both finished third in three-team meets at Lake Stevens Thursday, Sept. 27.
Laiblin won the girls race but Snohomish grabbed the next eight spots to win the meet with 20 points. Lake Stevens scored 57 and Oak Harbor 61.
Lake Stevens took the top three spots in the boys race to win 25-38-57 over Snohomish and Oak Harbor.
Laiblin received no time because she accidentally cut a portion of the course, but coaches awarded her first because she would have won either way.
John Rodeheffer paced the boys by finishing fourth in 16:37.87, just one second out of second.
