The Oak Harbor High School soccer team dug itself into a hole with uneven play in the first half and never recovered in a 6-0 loss at Stanwood Tuesday, Sept. 25.
Wildcat coach Jeff Laiblin said, "We played poorly in the first half, looking timid at times. This allowed Stanwood (2-2, 3-3) to exploit the mismatches on the field, and, as a result, they scored several times. We made solid adjustments at halftime and…played much better in the second half…(but) the damage was already done."
The Wildcats (0-4, 1-5-1) head to Shoreline Stadium to meet Shorecrest (3-1, 5-2) in a 7:30 p.m. nonleague match Thursday, Sept. 27.
