The Oak Harbor tennis team picked up straight set wins in two singles matches but that was it in a 5-2 nonleague loss at Meadowdale Monday, Sept. 24.

David Kusnick won 6-3, 7-5 in second singles and Harrison Miller took fourth singles 6-1, 6-3.

Coach Horace Mells said Kusnick won "with good defense and offensive net play" and Miller was successful with a "well-balanced, all-around game and good serving."

He added, "The rest of the team, for the most part, played some of their best tennis but was simply out matched."
