Miller nabs only win for 'Cats | Tennis

Harrison Miller's comeback win in fourth singles was the only point picked up by Oak Harbor in its 6-1 loss at Everett (1-0, 2-2) Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Coach Horace Mells said this players "got of to a slow start and did not play their best tennis."

He added, "Even though most players' performance improved during the second set, Harrison Miller was the only one to improve enough for a win."

Miller captured his match 3-6, 7-6(1), 6-2.

Other singles results: 1, William Southard lost, 1-6, 5-7; 2, David Kusnick lost 1-6, 4-6; 3, Carter Saar lost 0-6, 0-6.

Doubles: 1, Jose Dimaculangan/Ziwei Peng lost 0-6, 1-6; 2, Casiano Atienza/Antonio Unpingco lost 2-6, 4-6; 3, Tom Dale/Jacob Nelson lost 2-6, 3-6.

Oak Harbor (0-2, 1-3) goes to Marysville Getchell (1-0, 1-3) at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13.
