Wildcats place 2nd in pool play at Festival | Volleyball

The Oak Harbor High School volleyball team placed second in its pool and reached the semifinals of bracket play in the SunDome Festival at Yakima Saturday, Sept. 8.
The Wildcats lost to Richland 7-25, 17-25; split with Grandview 23-25, 25-18; and defeated Davis of Yakima 25-11, 25-16 in pool play.
Richland went on to finish second in the 32-team tournament.
In the bracket play of the eight teams which finished second in their pools, Oak Harbor defeated Glacier Peak 26-24, 25-8, then was beaten by Cascade 25-21, 6-25, 11-15 in the semifinals.
Cascade continued on to win the bracket championship.
The Wildcats tackle visiting Glacier Peak at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10.
