Wildcats romp by Hawks | Tennis

Bouncing back from dropping its season-opening loss, the Oak Harbor High School tennis team thumped visiting Mountlake Terrace 6-1 in a nonleague match Friday, Sept. 7.

The Wildcats (1-1) took all four singles matches from the Hawks (2-1): 1, Will Southard won 6-3, 6-3; 2, David Kusnick won 6-2, 4-6, 6-3; 3, Carter Saar won 6-3, 7-5; 4, Harrison Miller won 6-1, 6-0.

In doubles play, Oak Harbor won two of three: 1, Jose Dimaculangan/Ziwei Peng lost 1-6, 1-6; 2, Casiano Atienza/Antonio Unpingco won 6-4, 6-2; 3, Tom Dale/Jacob Nelson won 7-5, 6-0.

Oak Harbor hosts Stanwood (2-0) at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10.
