Coupeville graduate Kyle King became the first Eastern Washington University 10,000-meter runner to win the Big Sky Conference title in the event by running a 30:52.23 Friday, May 11, in Bozeman, Mont.

Since joining the Big Sky Conference in 1987, no EWU runner had won a men's title in an outdoor race of over 800 meters. King's winning time was 16 seconds better than the runner-up.

King, a senior, also finished third in the 5,000 (14:54.24) Saturday.
