Wildcats 8th in Wesco tournament | Boys golf

Although it was playing on its home course, the Oak Harbor High School boys golf team had a rough day in the Wesco 3A tournament Thursday, May 10, at Whidbey Golf and Country Club.

The Wildcats finished eighth out of nine schools with a stroke total of 491. Everett won with 425.

Elias Whitefoot paced Oak Harbor and placed 12th overall with a 91. Caleb Knaack was one stroke back at 92, and Hunter Adams shot 94. Jake Nelson (101), Steven Timm (113) and Raidon Poe (116) also competed for the Wildcats.

Shorewood's Chris Babcock took medalist honors with a 77.

Oak Harbor heads to the district tournament at Everett's Legion Golf Course Monday and Tuesday, May 14 and 15.
